Meenal Nigam is a yoga therapist, researcher, and educator with over 20 years of experience specializing in ancient meditation techniques, breathwork, and energy healing. Her journey into yoga began in 1993 at the age of 19, when she used it as a therapeutic approach to address upper spinal nerve weakness. Under the guidance of Dr. Ruhi Shekhar, she successfully regained function through disciplined yogic practices, later transitioning into teaching in 2004.
Meenal’s expertise extends beyond traditional physical yoga, incorporating neuroscience, bioenergetics, and psychophysiology into healing practices. She holds certifications across multiple energy healing modalities, including:
- Reiki (Grandmaster Level) – Trained under Indian Reiki Master Rakesh Sadh and later Philip Martis in Seichem Healing (2010).
- Energy Field Healing– Studied the principles established by Master Choa Kok Sui, focusing on optimizing the body’s natural energy systems for holistic health.
- Breath-Control Meditation – Initiated into Paramhansa Yogananda’s lineage through Anand Sangha, applying focused breathing techniques to enhance mental clarity and brain function.
- Advanced Hypnotherapy Certification– Completed training at The California Institute of Hypnotherapy, specializing in subconscious patterning, cognitive restructuring, and trauma-informed healing techniques.
- Sound Therapy – Researching the effects of vibrational frequencies and sound-based healing methods for cognitive enhancement and emotional balance.
Her scientific approach to yoga integrates:
- Neurophysiology of Breathwork – Studying how controlled breathing regulates the autonomic nervous system, stimulates the vagus nerve, and supports mental well-being.

Yoga has always been an intrinsic part of my journey, but my true calling emerged in 2018 when I discovered its profound impact on both my physical and mental well-being. The asanas were not merely exercises; they were transformative postures that instilled balance, calmness, and holistic health.
Driven by curiosity and a deep desire to understand the science behind yoga, I pursued a certified course at the Yoga Wellness Centre in Bangalore, affiliated with the esteemed Satyananda School of Yoga, Munger Bihar. This training refined my strengths, especially in pranayama, and provided me with a holistic perspective on yogic practices.
For me, yoga is not just a discipline—it is a journey of self-exploration, unfolding its depths and dimensions in ways that connect mind, body, and spirit. Through dedicated practice and learning, I aim to share the essence of yoga with others, fostering a balanced and harmonious life.
